What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate Marketing is a mutually beneficial revenue generating form of online advertising, which pays an Affiliate for their site visitors purchases from Allied Trade Group's online stores. Allied Trade Group offers a commission to Affiliate sites in return for referring visitors to the advertisers site and completing the required qualifying action. In most cases the action is qualified when the visitor completes a purchase. On a basic level, affiliate marketing is a referral program. It is a way of promoting businesses on the Web in which an affiliate is financially rewarded for every new customer introduction that results in a sale. How it Works! Website owners, looking for products to promote on their site, apply to join the Allied Trade Group Internet Affiliate Program. Once the Affiliate is approved they select from available advertisement banners or links, specifically coded with their individual tracking information, and place them on their site. Allied Trade Group's store banner ad is clicked on by an Affiliate's site visitor resulting in that visitor going to and viewing the advertised Allied Trade Group online store. When the visitor makes a purchase, an agreed commission is paid to the Affiliate. To know when an Affiliate's site visitor has clicked on Allied Trade Group's banner ad, a cookie is placed on the visitor's browser that identifies Allied Trade Group, the Affiliate and user. When the visitor makes completes a purchase, the transaction is tracked and recorded in the Affiliate's account. Commission payments to the Affiliate from Allied Trade Group are made on the predetermined and agreed time schedule. Such payments are usually issued quarterly by the Allied Trade Group. |
